FastcutWe are happy to announce that Fastcut Records will be issuing our latest album Simple Machinery in Japan this summer! The CD will include six bonus tracks, including "Who Knows" (from the 7" of the same name), "Ignoring Problems" (an unreleased track meant for the vinyl version of Simple Machinery that was never pressed), and four songs from our first album. The tentative release date is July 15th. We feel like we're in very good company with Fastcut Records, as they just released The Pains of Being Pure at Heart's album in Japan! Exciting times...

Meanwhile, we are working on writing and recording our next full-length album. We hope to finish it some time this summer and release it by the end of the year.

Fastcut Records (Japan) recently restocked our records... Thanks to our Japanese friends for making the Who Knows 7" their top selling release lately! There will be more news concerning our relationship with them soon. Ooooh, what could it be?!

Hello! It's been a while since we've had any news... sorry about that. One nice thing to report is that we were nominated "best indie/underground" band in the Cleveland Scene Magazine reader's poll. If you click that link, the short writeup sort of combines two stories i recounted in a phone interview a while ago. the "punk trio" thing was somewhere around 1999/2000. Then the "start writing pop songs together" happened in 2005, not as a result of the first part. But, hey, it's nice to get positive reviews even if the facts aren't right! Thanks for voting to anyone who bothered to do so.

Have we mentioned the 10" vinyl pressing of our Shortest Day of the Year EP? Well, we're mentioning it again. It should be out soon. Have a nice day.

We're happy to announce our affiliation with Moon Jaw Records, a new label created by our good friend Leo DeLuca from Southeast Engine and Vaughn Stewart! Their first release will be a vinyl pressing of the new Southeast Engine long player, and we look forward to doing some great and wonderful things with them in the future.

Happy 2009, everyone. I hope it's starting out well for you. We aren't too active right now, but there is still the 10" vinyl version of our Shortest Day of the Year EP coming out soon! Pink Teeth Records is releasing that for us, and it should be out in about a month. I know we've been saying that for about six months now, but it may actually be correct this time.

In other news, we posted a few mp3s for download on the fun page, so check that out if you haven't already downloaded everything for free on one of those torrent sites. Our resident artist, Kate Pugsley, just updated her website too, so you could check that out if you're feeling adventurous.

Four months late, we have finally posted some photos from our summer touring with Ghosty and Pwrfl Power. Check them out here!

A few nice features about our new album have come out in the last couple weeks... Alternative Press gave it a swell review, and we are Band of the Week over at Paste Magazine this week. And here's one from Popmatters.

We just got home from a little over a week of shows with Ghosty and Pwrfl Power on the East Coast, and it was great. Highlights include Chinatown in Boston at 2am, lighthouses and large cats in Maine, being in Vermont, hearing Anthony Keidis ask someone "how's that hotdog, man?" in Pittsburgh, and plenty of things I'm probably forgetting. Thanks to everyone who played with us, booked a show, bought a record, and gave us a place to stay.

We have two more shows booked for August, including the record release on Saturday, and then we won't be playing in Cleveland for a while. Charlie is moving to Chicago, but we still plan to record more music and tour when the opportunity arises.

For anyone wondering about the 10" release of the Shortest Day of the Year EP (+ 1 exclusive song), it's been delayed until September, but it will be well worth the wait. It's on white vinyl... WHITE VINYL.

Our recently-released Who Knows 7" is available at Insound now at a 10% discount when you use the code whoknows10. Click here!

A nice show review from The Tripwire came in while we were on the road in Brooklyn. Check it out here.

For our Swedish friends, Fraction Discs is once again stocking our records, so head over to their site to pick up your copy.

New shirts are up in the online store!

.::August 8, 2008::.

Reviews and features are already starting to come in for the new album... We're on Spin.com today as the "buzzcatcher," and check out another review from QRO Magazine here. If any of those things make you want to pick up the record, you can get one here.

We leave for tour tonight - see you soon!

.::August 4, 2008::.

Well, the new CDs have arrived, and they look (and sound??) great! We're excited to put it out on vinyl, which should happen pretty soon-ish. It will be up on iTunes in a little while, too.

New t-shirts are coming in with the axe man over there on them ----->
And we leave for tour on Saturday. Can we please stay with you while we're on the road?

.::July 23, 2008::.

Our new album, Simple Machinery, is coming out soon! You can listen to a few of the new songs on our myspace page and pre-order here if you'd like. This will be available on CD, vinyl (w/ mp3), and digital download, but the CD will be out first.

Tour dates for August with Ghosty and Pwrfl Power are posted here!

This is a temporary website that will be replaced with something new (and possibly better) at some point when we are feeling inspired. The old one was feeling too cluttered anyway... So for now, please check out the new songs and come say hi to us on tour.
